DEAR MARGOT
What if the person you lost left behind the map to your next beginning?
Still reeling from the death of her globe-trotting sister, Margot Phillips is burnt out, stuck, and saddled with a very judgmental cat. Then she's handed a stack of posthumous letters arrives - along with a plane ticket to Australia. Her sister’s final wish? That Margot follow the itinerary she left behind and start living again.
Margot expects beautiful views and lonely dinners. She doesn’t expect Sam: the maddeningly charming stranger she keeps running into, or the unexpected joy that begins to bloom in her grief’s shadow.
Wry, romantic, and full of heart, Dear Margot is a story about love, loss, and the courage it takes to choose what’s next - even when the path forward feels impossibly uncertain.
Dear Margot was born from two things I couldn’t stop thinking about: what happens to your sense of self when you lose a sibling, and what it might mean to keep running into the same person over and over. After watching people I love navigate that kind of loss, I found myself reflecting on my own relationship with my sister. Then, on my honeymoon, a few oddly serendipitous encounters got me wondering: if it kept happening, would you take it as a sign? A glitch? A push? Dear Margot lives in the space between those questions.
Currently seeking representation and publication opportunities.
WRITING HENNIE
Writing Hennie Mood Board (coming soon)
Writing Hennie Playlist (coming soon)
One surprise inheritance. One British spy novelist. Zero chill.
When Hennie Hughes discovers she’s inherited an apartment in London - and possibly has a secret family - she does what any mildly unhinged, emotionally avoidant woman would do: books a flight, packs a carry-on, and bolts.
She doesn’t expect the flat to come with a sexy, brooding neighbor with strong, judgmental opinions about tea. Or that he’ll be Everett Walker, bestselling author of a wildly popular spy series... whose female characters are despised by feminists everywhere.
When Everett reluctantly agrees to help Hennie track down the truth behind her family, a reluctant partnership turns into something messier, more personal, and a lot harder to outrun. Especially when Everett realizes Hennie might just be the perfect muse.
Writing Hennie is a slow-burn, transatlantic love story about trusting yourself (and others!), creative identity, and what happens when the life you planned gets rewritten entirely.
Work in progress. Stay tuned!
